Whispers: A film in a day project made as part of Girl Kind 2018.
As part of Day of the Girl activities, we were asked once again by Northumbria and Newcastle Universities to work with them on their Girl Kind project and deliver a film in a day opportunity for girls from secondary schools in the region. The girls made a moving film entitled 'Whispers' about the pressures of social media on young women.
Over the last year we have been delivering the first phase of our unique Story Therapy pilot project in Newcastle, funded by The Big Lottery Awards for All. Young people from Newcastle Bridges School worked with our in house team of counsellors and one of our digital artists exploring their feelings associated with their well being and emotions. This culminated in a beautiful short animation 'Emotion Commotion' which can be viewed online here.
